After purchasing, I passed through the torii gate and when I looked back, the shop was already closed, so I was impressed by their speed. Anyway, the specialty thread-cutting mochi is a simple yet beautifully and deliciously made mochi with a sweet red bean paste filling. It’s a shame that it has a short expiration date as it is a perishable item, making it difficult to bring back as a souvenir for those who are far away.
I went to buy Ito-kiri mochi because I was nearby. It is a traditional mochi that has been around for a long time. It is soft and delicious. This is the souvenir from Taga Taisha.
There are tables at the back of the restaurant where you can enjoy some Itokirimochi. Inside the restaurant, there are posters of the Rakuten Eagles pitcher, Takahiro Norimoto, and a signed uniform on display. When I remarked, "That's impressive," the owner came out and said, "I am the president of the fan club," and shared many delightful stories with us.
