Yes, it is on South Fraser Way, but it never seems to have many customers, which is surprising because it has what is probably the best Italian food that ever I have tasted. The dishes are quite unique, with the minestrone being like a garden of vegetables with spaghetti noodles, and other things like the linguini with ham and artichoke. It isn't cheap, but it isn't gouging for Italian food either. Oh, and you'll enjoy the bread, too.
It was slightly alarming to see a nearly empty dinner service at Antonio's, being that it was our first time. However, we were on the hunt for some good authentic Italian food so we took a seat and ordered. The complimentary bread took half an hour to make its appearance and the entrees took over an hour and a half. It was strange that a near empty dinner service would take slightly under two hours to bring out our food; but we can only assume that there was only one working chef. Although the waiting time is awful, the food was pleasantly flavorful. I ordered the seafood fettuccine and it wasn't bland at all which actually surprised me. It was delicious! If you are a patient person then I'd definitely recommend this place. If you are starving and likely to throw a fit for a long wait time ... I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Fantastic! This Italian restaurant is definitely my top choice in the city. The deep fried marinara is absolutely delicious. The food is consistently outstanding, and my wife and I love coming here regularly. The cozy dining room has a romantic atmosphere, and it's often not very busy because of the lack of advertising. They relocated to Abbotsford from Mission a while ago, and I haven't seen any promotion from them. It's a wonderful place to dine!
Great food in a pleasant setting. The prices are slightly on the higher side, but still reasonable. The staff is friendly and provides just the right amount of attentive service without being intrusive. Highly recommend for anyone in search of a quality Italian restaurant.
This Italian restaurant is my favorite in the city. The deep-fried marinara is absolutely delicious. The food overall is exceptional, and my wife and I are regular customers. The dining room is small and romantic, often quiet because of a lack of advertising. They relocated from Mission to Abbotsford some time ago, and I have not seen any advertising from them since. It's a great place to dine!
