Beautiful day, took a wee picnic but bought a cappuccino at the cafe and took away in my own travel mug to sit outside round the back away from the cafe. Piping hot, just as I like it and reasonably priced at £2.90 for a large size. As cappuccinos go for me it was 5
Nine of us and a dog turned up here on a busy Easter weekend. We didn't have to wait long, the food was very good and the staff were friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
We stopped here after enjoying a walk around Aden Country Park. The menu was quite limited so my husband and I opted for a toastie (ham and cheese) and a sandwich (roast beef and mustard). I felt it took a while to be served as I had to reach the till to order my food but once ordered we sat outside to wait for our food. It took quite a while to come to the point I was almost going back in to check they hadn’t forgot about us but the food then arrived, initially our food was offered to another table, but we had sat farthest away from the cafe outside as we wanted some shade so perhaps this was our fault as there wasn’t a table number for me to give on these back tables. The sandwich was ok, it became soggy from the dressing on the salad and the toastie was better. I didn’t enjoy the peppercorns in the salad but that’s just my personal preference. I would return again for a toastie after a walk.
Under same management as Saplin Brae hotel although different target clientel good for a coffee and a cake or soup and sandwich. Again lovely surrounds and woodland walks
Lovely cafe good food friendly service and great value for money and plenty to do and see around the park for all ages
