The store has a lot to offer and some counter services that are not available in some other shops. For example, Deli Counter and even serving coffee beans grinding and serving us. The place is welcoming and is kept clean with efficient and helpful staff.
This is my local supermarket, I have lived in Abingdon for about six months at the time of writing and were countless times in this Waitrose. It offers a wide range of products, has a sushi, deli and cheese and bakery. Recently, a better café and the new “unpacked” have been added, offering customers a way to reduce the amount of plastic waste they produce by offering refillable solutions. I am very pleased with the steps they have taken to reduce the amount of plastics they sell and hope that this trend will continue. They also don't sell plastic bags anymore, only bags for life that is big. The parking lot is quite large and also has great bike parking. There is now a local cash machine that is very useful. as well as 2 car charging stations, but recently you have been out of operation. While this is a waitrose and the prices are more expensive that other supermarket shops, especially on brands. This is known and if you were looking for cheap you would go anywhere else.
Beautiful lady on the checkout equipped with a big smile! Even the most expensive food retailer in town! Tesco/Sainsbury's most expensive Manchego cheese; a bridge of £2 between Waitrose price and Tesco/Sainsbury's
Supermarket with personal touch. Excellent service when my elbow broke, not experienced with other supermarkets. The Lord on the fish counter deserves an additional mention
Another great Waitrose. Really helpful and friendly staff. Nothing is too much for them
