Contribuisci feedbackI ordered scallops and broccoli, but I'm still waiting for the scallops to arrive. The service was decent for a takeout order. I had dinner, and the price per person ranged from $10 to $20. I would rate the food a 1, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 3. I recommend trying the Seafood Combination dish.

For the past ten years, I have always been warmly welcomed by the kind gentleman at this restaurant. I have to say, he even remembered my usual order, which highlights my loyalty. Unfortunately, I think it's time for me to find a new favorite dining place. It appears that both the staff and the recipes have changed completely. I typically order the beef and broccoli along with shrimp toast. About six months ago, I noticed a slight change in flavor, but it was still enjoyable. However, tonight was a different story; everything my family ordered tasted completely different, and for the first time, we realized that an item was missing when we got home. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it's disheartening to see a decline in quality and attention to detail. I’m not sure if the restaurant has changed ownership or if their approach has shifted, but I truly miss the old Eastern's.
This restaurant has always been our family's go-to spot for takeout Chinese food, and we used to enjoy it so much. Unfortunately, our order tonight was quite disappointing. The steamed dumplings were a different shape and filled with chicken instead of the usual filling. The Mongolian beef had very little beef in it, and the egg rolls had changed as well. I'm not sure when these alterations occurred, but I really wish we could get the old Eastern’s back. I wonder if they changed suppliers or if someone else has taken over the restaurant? Whatever the reason, it just doesn't taste as good as it used to.
This is the best Chinese takeout we've discovered in the area. We make a special trip from Waldorf to pick it up because it outshines any other places we've tried. The only one that comes close is Hunan Star in La Plata, but this remains our favorite. My husband is a big fan of their General Tso chicken, and I especially love the Egg Foo Young. The portion sizes are generous, so we always have leftovers! It's definitely worth the drive to Manokeek!
