Staff prepare delicious homemade meals that guarantee you never leave hunger. The coffee is always hot and fresh. Your barn chapel has plenty of space for meetings. There are several cabins and houses, as well as the lodge and the storehouse. Rooms for over 100 people. Great place for every size of the assembly!
The date was 26. April 1958. Senior classes from Fairfield, WA, Eagle Valley high plus two more HS were there for their senior days. All seniors were called to the banquet room. Once a senior was told by Fairfield HS to choose a senior from another HS. Good luck she would have chosen me! We celebrate our 63rd anniversary on December 2022. Phil Wirt
The most amazing experience I've ever had. Thank you.
I spent the weekend here with my church group and golly, I loved it. The view, the hills, the food, everything! I felt closer to God than I was further away from electronics. PS. If you walk the main road east and turn west, you will find a road that leads to sunny hills. (No trails, but let's do something!
My church had a women's retreat for 10 women and we stayed at the Homestead House for two nights during the first weekend of November. There were three bedrooms and each room had a queen size bed and either 1-2 bunk beds sets in each room. The rooms were plenty big enough, that even though we had 3+ women in a room, you felt like you had your own space. There's heaters in every room and a fireplace in the living room. The fireplace isn't required to warm the house, but is nice to enjoy. They will start a fire for you if needed. There was also a fit pit right outside the cabin. My friend and I hiked up to the cross. I would call this hiking trail a moderate to hard level. Especially because it was raining. The views were beautiful! There are other trails that are less extreme, but didn't get the chance to explore them. We also were able to enjoy the hot spring pool. Even though the day was chilly and wet, the pool was still warm enough to enjoy. When we were all done swimming, the life guard opened the gift shop and we were able to explore their little store and find some goodies. My one and only complaint is that there isn't great lighting in the kitchen and the living room, so hard to see to play games and read. Notes to myself to bring next time are slippers, extra heavy blankets, drinking water and a change of shoes since mine were soaked after the hike. I'm looking forward to next year!
