Just finished at Catch 1251. It was the worst seafood either of us ever had. They were under new management and had only been open for 5 weeks. The place must have been 80 degrees and we paid more than we did eating at Cals last night. We were the only ones in the restaurant and all the food was overcooked. I guess I will have to do more research next time.
Freshest seafood you can get at a restaurant! Perfect lobster and filet mignon!! Mind blown!
Overall the food is great! I visited two times and had two very different experiences so here we go. My first visit we ordered the Lobster Bruschetta, which were delicious, and the Scallops wrapped in bacon. The scallops were cooked beautifully, however the bacon was raw. Cocktails were A and my Lobster Mac and Cheese was an A . My friend’s stuffed lobster was sad, we returned it cause sadly it wasn’t up to standard. On my second visit had the Fish Chips and that was a home run. Service was excellent!
The experience from top to bottom was awful. Getting our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes. We ordered calamari, the bacon wrapped scallops, and fried green tomatoes. Both the calamari and the tomatoes we overcooked and seemed to come from a box. The scallops were burned. The bacon was really chewy and the scallops were very small as a result of overcooking. Then there was dinner. After they brought out the wrong food, they came back with well done filet and overcooked lobster. The lobster was barely a half lb and the filet looked like it was a McDonald’s hamburger. The waiter said, “thanks for coming. I’m sorry you had such a bumpy ride”. I felt bad for the poor guy. Even he knew no one should have a meal like that. Maybe they are struggling after covid, but it was not something I would encourage anyone going through.
