It was clear they were busy. He came back to the phone and I gave him my order. He told me it would be twenty minutes. I picked up my food and drove 15 minutes home. I was about to dip the whole thing in gravy, but decided to tear a piece off first. That’s when I noticed it had shrimp inside. I am deathly allergic to shrimp. When I called, instead of an apology, the same gentleman told me that he was the one that took my order and that’s what I said. Unless I was on a suicide mission, I would never. I have to carry an epipen for my allergy due to the severity on my reaction. He doubled down. I asked how I would be compensated for the inconvenience and he told me all he would do is replace it and I needed to bring what they gave me back in order to do that. WOW sir! I’m going to take this food back up there, but I don’t want a replacement order. I just want my money back, and I will never patron this establishment again. Good luck to you if you do, but take my advice and thoroughly check your food before consuming it.
Not good in any way ! basically worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in Aiken SC and many other cities and states DONT WASTE Your MONEY
Ordered several lunch specials today. First we ordered the Spicy Wings with Fried Rice and Hot Sour Soup. Wings were not spicy and were served with the sauce used when preparing General Tsao's Chicken. Had I known that I would have never ordered them. The plain brown rice was bland. The Hot and Sour Soup was good but a very small bowl. The second dish was Dragon and Phoenix served with Fried Rice and Wonton Soup. The white sauce was very good. Rice once again was disappointing. Wonton Soup was decent by today's standards but whatever happened to the slices of pork and greens that used to be served with it? We ordered Roast Pork Egg Foo Young off of the dinner menu as it's not an option at lunch time. I ordered the dish with white rice. Could have used a lot more white rice. The gravy was thick and the roast pork was long strips versus chunks which I prefer. Very few Chinese Restaurants know how to make a good gravy and Jade Of China is not one of them. We have been coming here on and off for several years and today was our most disappointing visit. Probably won't be back as Aiken has many other options to offer.
Everything was good tasting and great service. The place is just old and tired. In the need for a face-lift.
Best Chinese restaurant in Aiken. I've been eating here for over 40 years.
