Lock 15 Brewing Company - Akron

The beer is, of course, the main attraction at this brewery. The current menu features a house-made, tangy lemon chickpea burger, which is quite hearty. The aioli is not vegan, but it can easily be omitted. There are also vegan options available, starting with vegetarian-designed dishes that can be customized. The brewery is conveniently located near the canal, as well as a towpath that is popular among cyclists and hikers. During our visit, the restaurant was buzzing with activity, and a waiting list had formed while half of the available seats were occupied. The noise level inside is quite lively. Reservations are accepted. Both the staff and customer service were excellent.

The atmosphere was lively, which was nice, but for $10, it didn't feel quite worth it as the place wasn't very busy. They offered a few vegan options, but I wish there were more. This is an update from my previous review from October 2021.

I spent a day in Akron and I'm so glad we chose this spot for lunch. The beer was fantastic, but the food was even better. The Nashville hot chicken and Banh Mi sliders were a huge hit at our table. This place is definitely a must-visit! With the Towpath and Cascade Valley nearby, it’s the perfect stop for a weekend after a hike or ride. I will definitely be returning!

The beers are remarkably good, and the menu is diverse and creative. I'm truly impressed and highly recommend this place!

The food was excellent. We had the Tuna Poke’ and the Steamed Mussels. The beer was very good as well. Great ambiance. Cheers to Colin Cook. Should be an Akron mainstay for many years to come!!!
