Vaccaro's Trattoria - Akron

The wedding soup and pumpkin bisque were phenomenal. Meatballs were homemade and very high quality. The pappardelle bolognese was excellent noodles were perfect. Our waitress was very attentive, had great wine recommendations and great rapport. We were an Italian family from out of town and they made us feel like home.

Delicious meal! Great service! We can’t wait to go back.

Vaccaro's is our special occasion place. This was our 49th anniversary and like everything about the evening. Wife had the salmon primavera, and I had the chicken alfredo. Both were very good. We preceded the entrees with a bowl of pumpkin bisque, it was an 11 out of 10. We split a large apple goat cheese salad. (Can't imagine someone ordering a full one and eating dinner after. The split was large enough for each of us . Our server Delaney was engaging, and Raphael the owner stopped by the table to congratulate us on our special day. They even comped us dessert, which we could only eat half of. We also got boxes to go of each of our entrees, and there's enough left over to be our dinner tonight. Our server was unfamiliar with the two red wines we were considering, and so she got Raphael's thoughts, and it was a good choice. (I can't blame the server for not being familiar with the wine. Frankly, with so many choices on their wine list I don't know how even Raphael keeps them straight in terms of dry, fruity, etc. . In any event, Vaccaro's came through again for us.

We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time. We were seated quickly and ordered drinks and our meals within a few minutes. 50 minutes later, we told the server that we'd need to have the meals boxed for take out as we were getting short on time. We paid the check then to save time. 15 minutes later, we needed to leave despite our food never being delivered. This was our third time at Vaccaro's Trattoria and each time was worse than the last. We won't be going back.

Excellent server and delicious food. Portions were large and drinks were generous.
