The Hideaway Steakhouse - Alamosa

The service was awful!! We got there, ordered, and 3 tables that came in after us got their food before us. Our kids got their meals and about 30 mins later my husband and I finally got our meals. We had to take our meal to go at that point. Our waitress never came back to refill drinks. The waitress commented that it must be terrible to try to take 3 kids to dinner implying that that is the reason we were having to leave. We never have problems with our children eating because we typically all get our food at the same time. Eating our food in the car we found out that the steak was actually very good...too bad the service was so terrible that we will never return. On top of the terrible service the waitress hovered over me when I was filling in the tip portion of the receipt and made sure to point out what 20% tip was on the order....there was no way she was getting a 20% tip. My husband and I normally leave a very good tip when we go out to dinner. Stay away if you don't want a 3 hour ordeal!!
