This small tavern oozes with the charm of centuries old taverns in towns all over Spain! I liked its' rustic atmosphere and thought it added to my experience while visiting this special place. Definitely would recommend for a glass of some local hearty wine or a cold beer as a first stop when visiting Albarracin, it would be a great introduction to the town and put you in the right mood to start exploring its' narrow streets and hidden corners.
When we walked past the open door of this taberna, the relative smallness and darkness drew us like a magnet. I don’t know what it is like all the time, but when we visited, unlike many other bars in town, this one was pretty quiet and only had a couple of locals drinking at the bar. As such, it didn’t feel remotely touristy, and was a very pleasant place to soak up a bit of the local atmosphere.
