El Bokao Gourmet - Alicante

We've been here for a while and every time we go, we get fantastic service and really nice food. There is a wide selection of wines and seafood is fresh from their own theke with lobster in their own tanks. A really great environment with table-Pr bar seating and a wide selection of tapas as well as complete dishes such as steak, fish and paella. We tried yesterday the mar Y montaña paella and it was one of the most beautiful we had in a restaurant. One of our favorite places to eat and look around.

Sure, this is the best restaurant in Alicante. The menu selection is amazing, the products are all of the highest quality, from clear fresh fish and lively Maine lobster in a tank to wonderfully aged meat and an impressive glass walk in wine cooler with a wide selection of Spanish regional wines at reasonable prices, all beautifully prepared and elegantly presented. The service is equally important. What makes great customer service? It’s not about “snap” if a customer wants something. It shows up on the table with a certain excitement whether you describe your menu or publish the look of the excited surprise of the customer if you offer them an unexpected freebie. It is about sharing your enthusiasm while inviting your customers to share in your world. For a restaurant to find people with this kind of positive energy and to keep them engaged during a pandemic, is even an enormous achievement. My experience in BoKao characterizes what I love Alicante, it is rich culture, it is flooding and it is welcome from outsiders. Definitely a highlight of my visit to this part of Spain.

Good service nice people. Atmosphere is old modern, not so cosy. Food is fine, but not the most delicate. I'd maybe recommend to go with family/parent.

My friend and I wanted to eat at 23:00 on Sunday night when most restaurants were closed. In BoKao Gourmet we were welcomed by the waiters. With the drinks they offered us various small tapas with bread. The food we ordered was very tasty while the syrup was perfectly cooked. The waiters were very attentive all the time and at the end gave us wet towels and slippers!

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was ver friendly and helpful! I would recommend it to anyone. It has excellent seafood and steaks! They also have a variety of wines. Also, the place is really nice, located in the centre of the city!
