Can out medium moo and red inside burger was taken off the bill but it still came to $90 we were told that the kitchen we very backed up but the chef was sitting at a table drinking checking his Facebook. All in all. It felt more like a National Lampoon movie than a nice dinner out with family.
Our food took some time to arrive, but I appreciated that 99% of the items are made to order rather than being pre-cooked and reheated, which really showed in the flavors of our meals. The only suggestion I would make is to provide the bartender with more training on the computer system for quicker order entry. Overall, I’ll definitely be returning! And I have to mention the dessert drinks that Tony created—they were out of this world! The key lime pie martini was absolutely delicious!
We were a party of four and arrived around 6:30 PM. We enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, main courses, and dessert, leaving the restaurant around 8:30 PM. This isn’t the spot for anyone seeking fast food, but if you’re after delicious, hearty meals served by eager staff, then Sandy Point Restaurant is the perfect choice. You won't be disappointed. The management has chosen to continue the tradition of employing local high school students, many of whom are just starting their first job. They may be a bit shy, but their enthusiasm to learn and provide good service is commendable. The back dining room features high-top tables that seat four but can easily accommodate six with plenty of space. Alongside the wall, there are several square and rectangular tables that can be combined for larger parties. This dining area also offers fantastic views of Alton Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee. The front dining room has round tables that seat six and eight people. Both dining areas are spacious, clean, and inviting. What could enhance the experience? Perhaps providing each table with a canister of pencils for guests to use while they wait, encouraging conversation, brainstorming, and creativity. Additionally, a soft background jazz piano playing classic pieces, such as “Blue in Green,” could add a pleasant ambiance to the atmosphere.
The worst meal I've EVER had. Service horrible. Food disgusting. This is NOT the old place. Went there remembering the old place and came for same experience. Huge disappointment. Arrived on Labor Day weekend to empty restaurant. Which should have been first red flag. Sat down and waitress was frazzled, which was odd since she only had 2 tables. Prices incredibly expensive. Atmosphere so depressing. Everyone looks miserable. Service so slow. Took forever to get food. People next to us sent steamers back and then received steak dinner and refused to pay because was so bad. Best part was laughing with them how bad it was. Would never come back and you shouldn't either.
Yikes. Sorry Nolan's, you should have stayed in Wolfeboro. It took forevvvvvver to get our food. We ordered stuffed scallops and chicken piccata. They don't come with a side salad or bread (even though tables around us had delicious loaves of bread on their tables and there were butter dishes). My piccata was devoid of flavor and the pasta was dry and without any sauce. I asked that any sauce be brought and was not surprised when it was tin-can tasting marinara. My husband's scallops were in some sort of pink colored liquid at the bottom. Sigh, we loved the old Sandy Point. Also, THIS IS NOT THE SAME MENU AS THE NOLANS IN WOLFEBORO! We went exclusively for the vegetable rangoons that we love so much. Our bad.
