They always have a good experience with the niles and the waitress there!

We love getting pizzas from here, but on Saturday night we ordered and when I went to pick up, said would be ready in a few minutes. 20 minutes later the waitress said a few minutes and it was 15 minutes. very disappointed. I never had to wait almost 2 hours. next time it's not ready when I pick up, I'm just gonna move.

I really wanted to like the Niles Hotel, but there were just a few too many issues. The hotel has lots of character and the room was generally comfortable. The location was also very good, right in downtown Alturas. Room amenities were a bit lacking, especially given the price of the room. There was no TV and no fridge in the room. I don't mind no TV if I'm in a resort or getaway hotel, but this was a stopover on a road trip, and it would have been nice to have TV, especially since it was dark shortly after 5 pm. In addition, the internet wouldn't work in my room, so the only way to get wifi was to go downstairs to a common area not very convenient or comfortable given the Covid situation. The other thing I didn't like was that none of the staff I encountered was wearing masks that's not very considerate or courteous to guests.
