Quaint village and harbour. Lots to see and do. Visit the market and be amazed at the vast array of produce and ware available. Lots of lovely restaurants selling incredible local caught sea food. Some nice pubs too. Glorious, simply glorious!!
We werent expecting such a well maintained and well presented area.It has a lovely relaxing quality far from the sounds of kiss me quick and amusement arcade style. It has a RNLI life boat station ,puffin Sea Tours and various small shops.
Great place to hike with a series of shopping pods selling art, Nick-Nicks and eis etc. there are also several dining places, although the fish and chips are very expensive. great view of warkworth castle along the river also.
.we visited on a Sunday, which meant that the harbour area was fluctuating with people, as the Sunday market was, between this and the harbour village 'Pod shops', we really enjoyed just driving around a few hours and picking up a few snacks. it also has a series of places to buy either eat / drinks on the hoof, or sit and relax. we will be back!
