I had a very beautiful Cajun style tribute while our host had half-cut mandelin and my wife...has spaghetti bolongnese. everyone was satisfied with the choice. Unfortunately, I left my credit card there, but when I called the next day, they had it and told me to look over and get it.
My family eats here every time we get to anchorage. we always have a good service, always have great food. we live the pizzas and desserts!
Sorrento's is our favorite restaurant in Anchorage. Always quality food, excellent customer service and CLEAN! We went for an early dinner the 2nd week that they were open for dine in service. All of the Covid 19 rules were being followed perfectly. Masks, 6 feet...between tables etc. We hadn't eaten out since all of the restaurants had been closed to dine in service so we didn't really know what to expect but we worried for nothing. I enjoyed the pasta with seafood dish and my husband ordered the Chicken Ranch pizza. We had never ordered pizza here before, in almost 25 years of dining here! My pre-conceived thoughts of a Chicken Ranch pizza, even though I had never tasted one before, weren't pleasant ones I admit. It looked beautiful but when my husband offered to share some with me I declined. He finally convinced me to try a bite. WOW! I have to admit I had several more. It was a revelation to my taste buds. The fresh tomato slices on top added a wonderful contrast to the hot pizza. It has made us devoted fans. Everything we have ever eaten here has been great I don't know why I doubted that a Chicken Ranch pizza would be any different. Thanks Sorrento's!
I had read somewhere that Sorrento 's was rated as having the best Italian food in Alaska. Normally I don 't pay much attention to those claims, but because my wife and I craved some good Italian food (20 days in to a 42 day road trip)...we decided to give it a try. Glad we did. A rather modest exterior gave way to a very pleasant interior with a small bar and seating in either booths or tables. The menu is extensive. We choose beef canneloni, baked with a nice meat sauce and manicotti baked with a marinara sauce with a side of meatballs. The meatballs definitely tasted homemade. Hot garlic bread and crisp green salads accompanied the meals. I had never had baked manicotti before, but it was very tasty as was the cannelloni. Both sauces were excellent as was the service. A limited wine and beer menu, but sufficient for our needs.
My husband and I dined at Sorrento's this evening and were lucky enough to be served by Debbie. I met Debbie in 1993 at Sorrento's and she is still to this day the most positive, upbeat, true, professional and kind beyond words! Every single time...I have dined at Sorrento's since 1993, I have been completely satisfied and delighted by the wonderful food and service. Thank you to the chefs and the entire staff at Sorrento's for really caring about your customers and their dining experience. I would recommend Sorrento's to anyone who is looking to enjoy delicious Italian food in a wonderful atmosphere with superior service! Ask for Debbie...she is a timeless beauty with a heart of gold! You will experience an A 5 star experience!
