As its name suggests, the Itsaski restaurant means "seafood" in Basque. This gives us an idea of the dishes we can taste there. Fish is the main focus of their menu: ceviches, marmitako (a typical Basque soup made with leeks, tuna, and potatoes); salmon in Mediterranean herbs; cod in different variations, such as "pil pil" or "ajoarriero", fish fillet; seafood stew and Basque-style octopus. They also serve the highly recommended black paella (with squid and squid ink). The creation of this establishment was the result of an adventure. A journey by the Gorrichátegui family men to the north of Spain and France, served to reconnect with their past and opened the doors to a new world: gastronomy. Itsaski, a seafood and ceviche restaurant, has its roots in the rich traditional Basque cuisine, in Panama City, which is also located in the "food court" or in the food fair of the Commercial Center or Plaza of the City of Knowledge, in Clayton, very close to the Miraflores locks. This concept is innovative and inaugurates a trend that the Gorrichátegui family has called "fast good food": fast food with gourmet accents and fresh ingredients. Itsaski also promotes green practices, in line with the lifestyle and with the Leed certification of the Plaza in the City of Knowledge.
The food at this restaurant was all precooked, and our meal was served within 2 minutes of ordering. While the prices were low, the service was lacking.
The cocktails at this restaurant are delicious and beautifully made, and the side salsa is exceptional.
The food at the restaurant was excellent, but the lemonade was disappointing. The service was just average.
