The Picket Fence Too - Angleton

I generally like this restaurant because the food is so good. I think they changed ownership or something however, because during the pandemic the service was MUCH better.The last time we went, I ordered several meals for our party, and one was supposed to come with french fries (per the menu). When the meals came back out, the meal with french fries did not come out with french fries. When asked the waitress, she said that meal did not come with french fries. So I asked her to give me the menu. She gives me the menu, and I point to her that it clearly states it comes with french fries. She then goes on to state that the owner has poor English and is a Spanish speaker, so it was a mistake on the menu. I then ask to talk to the manager. The manager does not come out, but she says that they will give me the fries anyway.She then goes on to state, other people have been complaining about this too.I also noticed the quantities were reduced. In previous times that I had eaten here, I get their incredible poblano soup. Previously when ordering the largest size, I have been given a 16oz portion (which I get on purpose to take some home). This time I was given an 8 oz portion and charged for the same price.Not sure what is going on here, perhaps they don't like their customers, or if you are not the kind of person they like you deserve a smaller quantity or not to be given what you ordered.IF you go, the food is pretty good, just expect poor service.

I absolutely love this place!!! My husband and I eat here at least once a week they have the best staff ever!!! They are are always catering to exactly what we want. The food here is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone.

I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich. It was tough and couldn’t chew it. Asked for another plate hoping they would correct it but alas no. Lady told me “it’s the same very tough to chew”. I mean what do say about that?! She didn’t offer to give me my money back either. Husband ordered the picket bowl. First, this is NOT a bowl. See pic. The chicken was not fresh. It was just ok. Service was below par. They need to train their workers. No apology for the bad food, no return of my money since I couldn’t eat the food. I mean it can’t get any worse than that. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Every time my family and I order from this location, the food is always well-seasoned, fresh, and hot! I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Enjoyed it. You can get grits at a drive thru.... Awesome!
