A rustic traditional picanteria, the restaurant is a local favorite and you'll rub elbows with locals...during your meal Literally. Most of the tables are benches with multiple seating for several parties each. All of the plates are very authentic and extremely well portioned. Meaning that you they serve HUGE portions. My wife and I split a Trio plate which had a number of favorites: fried pork knuckle and ribs, Rocoto Relleno, potato cheese loaf, and a pork foot salad. We could have split that plate with 2 3 more people and still had plenty to eat each. We also ordered the Caldo de Gallina soup which was a hearty helping of chicken, potatoes, and veggies. I loved it here. You will too.
Friends in Lima said come here so we did. Had the rocoto relleno, pastel papa and chicha guiñapo. All were good, there was some live entertainment when we were there for lunch.
