Alfanous - Arriate

A refreshing change after eating Moroccan food for a long time. There are many Syrian restaurants in town, but that one stands out. The Egyptian excellent chef can make a variety of tasty middle eastern dishes. The Kubbeh is amazing as is their stuffed pigeon and various salads and meats. Consult the chef for his plate of the day, you will not regret it.

Excellent spot. The waiters and owner are extremely kind, welcoming and courteous. Wide selection of dishes to choose from and reasonable prices. Located centrally but in a relatively quiet area, without many pedestrians or street traffic. Both times I’ve dined here they provided a small array of sweets, free of charge. Also a good place to learn what “le vrai taboulé” really is (let’s just say it’s not your mother’s “taboulé” . Very popular with everyone I have taken here; I don’t understand why their rating is not higher.
