A very good restaurant, a very warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere at the corner of the fireplace. The dishes are refined and we are not on hunger.
A warm and surprising restaurant! During our holidays in the Luchon Valley, my companion and I had a sudden desire to toast! Soon we are stuffed in the leaflets collected here and there in the Tourist Offices of the surrounding region. And then fell on that of La Grange de Cirès located only 10 km from Bagnère de Luchon!: Yes, for us sausages!!! . And especially after climbing a mountain, it's fun! In short, once on site, we were pleasantly welcomed not the mistress of the place, in a typical mountain setting. Large wooden tables and chairs, mountain chalet decoration. With the particularity, to have the kitchen open directly in the room. With regard to the dishes, I intended to find a whole bunch of different grilled meats, apart from the bone rating that is their specialty with the chicken pot, I was surprised that it was the only grille proposed. Unless you missed a page? However, the darling and I had a good surprise: The chief's suggestions! Far from the roasts, it was no less that these suggestions written on the blackboard put water to the mouth in record time! So that despite the price a high hair of these dishes, we still have to crack! For the entrance we ordered a cassolette of Saint-jacques with cream and pepper from Espelette to 14€. We took one for both of us, but they are small individual coconuts. For the dish, a cute net of veal each, served with its girolle sauce at 20€. And for dessert, a strawberry verrine with mascarpone and homemade speculo, too. As for the cassolette, it was a real pleasure! We felt the spots were fresh to their texture. The cream was very well seasoned. Every bite was creamy. Delicious! Just a little flat I'll add. For my part, I personally find that for one person and that for 14€, three scaffolds are not enough. Two others were welcome. So, for the calf, we were also very happy! A soft meat, a creamy sauce too, all accompanied by small cranberry potatoes and a flan of vegetables. And for dessert, as it is a dessert that I love and that I do a lot, either with strawberries or with raspberries, I could find that their verrines were really home. Because it was like home, does exactly the same thing! And so good! And all this, with the kindness and smile of the bosses, is great! In conclusion, we will not go back there for another stay.
