Edison, Craft Ales Kitchen - Asheville

Unfortunately, the good old GPI is no longer what it used to be. The new owner, the corporate giant Omni, has excluded the community from the spa and treats us poorly when we try to visit during the Christmas gingerbread house event. It's frustrating to be told that the venue is full and to come back later, especially when insider information contradicts that claim. If you do manage to get in, you'll find steep parking fees during the holiday season—a clear case of opportunistic price gouging.

I had a wonderful dinner with a stunning view! The S'mores Old Fashioned was phenomenal—so playful and distinctive! The Ploughman's Board offered an impressive array of flavors, and the Deviled Eggs were among the best I've ever tasted. The service was attentive and efficient. I highly recommend Edison to anyone seeking a delicious and scenic dining experience!

The service and atmosphere were excellent, but the menu choices were somewhat limited, and the drinks were so potent that you'll be thankful you're not behind the wheel. The Fried Green Tomatoes were absolutely delightful! The Asheville Hot Chicken Sandwich was tasty, especially with the fresh, crunchy pickles adding to it. However, the Salmon dish didn’t impress me as much; I’ve had better elsewhere. While the salmon itself was good, the parsnip and tomato medley in lemon sauce fell flat in terms of flavor. The Grove Park Inn really needs to improve their cocktail offerings. I've tried several bars at the resort, and all of them served drinks that were excessively strong! I’d expect a better selection and quality, like what you’d find at Eddie V’s in a five-star resort. Nevertheless, I still have a soft spot for you, Grove Park Inn... xoxo

Beautiful outdoor dining w/ a view. Tasty burgers Service was great, came during lunch so it was not too busy.

The Awesome the soup, salad, salmon and pasta and the dessert were beyond what we've tried before. I can't find the words to describe how spectacularly satisfying the dishes were. Finally, kudos to our server Mallory who was delightful and accommodating with regard to some very minor alterations to our orders! Finally the interior space and the view unparalleled! We were seated directly behind the fireplace and still were able to see the mountains in the background! Needs Improvement I wish OpenSpace allowed for reservations instead of completely closing all time slots. Would have saved me the anxiety of not being able to dine at the Omni Grove Park Inn.
