Contribuisci feedbackI'm not trying to be karen, but I had a terrible experience here. first I went to the bathroom and there was pee on the toilet seats. then I ordered a chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. my hunch in sandwich was raw and the Mac cheese was half hard. at the moment I feel very sick from the huh.
Yesterday my drive through order was filled incorrectly. I noticed order was wrong when I got home. I called back and spoke with Max. He was so professional and kind. He told me to come back at my convenience and he would make it right. I returned today. He had my order made perfectly and gave me a complimentary dessert and drink. All with a smile. Thanks Max and Panera bread.
Great place to go if you have half an hour to be stuck in their drive-thru line. There were literally two vehicles in front of us and we sat for nearly 30 minutes, trapped by the 3' high curbs. The kid working the window actually had really good customer service, especially relative to the manager. He apologized when we got to the window, ran our card, but when asked how much longer it would be he couldn't tell us. We had somewhere to be and could not wait any longer, so we told him to cancel the order and refund the charge. We continued to wait for the manager to handle the refund; she came over, said literally nothing, didn't ask what happened, why there was an issue. She finally processed the refund and wished us a great day with a smug look and went about her business. I worked in the service industry for many years and this is just simply not how it should go. Some people have no business being in the service industry, and this manager (Allison maybe? She certainly didn't introduce herself) is the prime example of that. We will absolutely never go to another Panera, especially this location...there are too many good restaurants in Asheville to wait in a drive-thru for half an hour.
I used to enjoy Panera Bread for years. Good quality food, nice management. I am a Covid travel nurse and depend upon food ordering and delivery (Door Dash) as we can rarely get away to pick up food. Service and food from this site used to be consistently good...now, a nightmare. The last THREE orders have been disgusting. Burned and inedible chicken in chicken sandwich Slimy chicken on salad "OH, the kids made a mistake and put turkey on it .says the manager) no apology. Sandwich so cold and hard can't bite into..cheese rubber Green smoothie half full Someone else's order in my bag Sloppy to no wrapping on food. The very worst part was a manager named Denise. She obviously has not been trained in customer service or hospitality. She has never offered an apology and stated if the order is so bad don't order here anymore . She then hung up on me. Service like this gives what once was a good restaurant, a terrible reputation. She has no pride in the restaurant or company she represents. All of the negative reviews here, mention the Hendersonville Road, Asheville site. I will NEVER eat here again. Go to the Tunnel Rd. site.
Visited Panera in Ashville. Greeted warmly at counter. Order was placed in person and processed quickly. I had 1/2 tuna sandwich. Very good, light meal. Coffee, black, was excellent. Very busy, beautiful morning. Table had to be wiped off, but it did not detract from an enjoyable dining experience.
