Mam's Happy Thai Express - Ashland

I would give this place 4.5 stars. It's a charming restaurant and the owner is very friendly. I ordered the Tom Yum soup and the broth was absolutely delicious. To my surprise, they even added glass noodles at my request, even though it wasn't listed on the menu. I really enjoyed it! It may not be a fancy restaurant, but it's a nice and cozy spot for a satisfying meal.

I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night at 6 pm. It wasn't very crowded and the service was friendly and quick, so I would give it 5 stars for that. However, the food was absolutely terrible, I wouldn't even give it 1 star. We couldn't even eat it. When they brought out the pad thai with beef, the smell of the meat made us nauseous. When we tasted it, we had to spit it out. It was really bad. I would not recommend ordering the beef option!

The ambiance of the restaurant is charming. The purple front door is a nice touch. The owner was friendly. Our food arrived promptly. I am only giving 3 stars because the food was mediocre. The peanut sauce was too watery, and the Pad Thai with chicken had a slightly odd taste.

Extremely disappointed with my green shrimp curry!!! I am doing two separate reviews, one five stars and three star, to show how great this place CAN be but also get the staff's attention to value each plate they serve. The staff was SO nice, the kitchenwas hustling and working hard and clearly understaffed, but that doesn't excuse selling a curry to a customer with...nocurry?! Check the photo. I did my best to give them the benefit of the doubt to saturate the rice with the two teaspoons ofcurry sauce I was given. The rice, shrimp and veggies showed incredible potential. But I was completely bummed and bewildered tobe served rice with veggies and shrimp and no curry. EDIT: Apparently I can't do two reviews.with one account. My wife's PadThai was the best she's ever had. Amazing. And I know my curry would be too if they didn't forget...the curry

First time visit and dine , came here for padthai but they out of the main ingredient. There are variety delicious hotplates and not too spicy. I guess owner is the chef , nice lady, brief chat about the food, will definetly come back.
