Little Ollie's - ASPEN

Orange chicken and chicken fried rice. My wife had crab won tons and sweet and sour chicken.

We went to Little Ollie's for our last night in Aspen. My wife and I loved how tucked away the restaurant, it feels more low key. It was a very clean restaurant, with few customers eating and enjoying themselves. We were greeted immediately and sat down by the host. Everything was going great until I asked if they still have the Hot Pot available for the evening. The host was taken back and looked sincerely confused when I asked if they have hot pot. I was surprised by the reaction as “Hot Pot” is literally in their restaurant name. He said they don't have that and do not serve hot pot. However, that news didn't ruin the night for us! The food we ordered was the Tonkatsu Ramen with Pork Belly, Mongolian Flank Steak, as well as Shumai Dumplings. The food was good! The drinks were great! Service was great as well! But, the cost of those 4 items shouldn't have been anywhere near the check amount. I will say that it was a good first but not great enough to come back for seconds.

I don't think that charging 20% tips for 2 people eating at restaurant is appropriate. They charged us (2 people) 20% tips without saying anything. Do you think this is customary at Aspen????? Most restaurants always charge gratuity to customers up to 5-6 people. You better learn how to give us a good service before asking for high gratuity

Nice portion sizes and speed. It’s pricey but what in aspen is not. Lots of vegan plant-based options. My wife and I split the green beans and the tofu lettuce wraps. We got an extra side of white rice and that was enough food for a light dinner! Recommended for takeout or dine in.Vegetarian options: Minimal to no use of butter or dairy so easy to find plant based options.

We had a blast for my birthday at little Ollies. They were able to accommodate a large group, the food was great, and everything came out in perfect time. Slightly expensive for the amount of food you get but it's a Aspen! Great drinks too.
