After being disappointed with the food at Carnival 2022, we were craving some authentic Jamaican cuisine to satisfy our hunger. After reading rave reviews from locals, we decided to give this place a try, and we were not disappointed! The customer service was exceptional, and the oxtails were the best I've ever had - a tough standard to beat! The fried chicken was delicious, and they even had the best ketchup! The jerk chicken was also amazing. What really stood out to me was how authentically flavorful the food was, with the perfect amount of spice. This spot is now our go-to for Jamaican food whenever we're in Atlanta!
The jerk and curry chicken were fantastic. I also enjoyed the rice. I will definitely be ordering from here again. I can't wait to try the chicken patties next time! The portions are generous (photo is missing 2 pieces).
This restaurant is truly Jamaican! The customer service is excellent and the staff is made up of genuine Jamaicans cooking and serving you. This is the closest thing to being in Jamaica in Atlanta. Yeah Mon!!! Everything is delicious! My daughter is Jamaican-American and she was craving a taste of her roots.
The absolute best oxtails I’ve ever had and they give you a lot! You will not be disappointed!! We heard another customer ask for a chicken patty. We asked the owner what is a chicken patty? He explained and we tried it. Their chicken patty is the bomb, the crust so flaky and fresh! We also tried their Rum cake. Yes I’m about to brag on it too!! Delicious is an understatement! If you don’t believe me just go try it for yourself!!
Was craving curried goat and found them nearby. The food was good enough except it tasted like the put too much pimento either in the gravy or when they marinated the meat. Also, I ordered in the store and even after repeating 3 times that I wants plantain instead of cabbage when I got home and opened my food… big big cabbage and no plantain in my plate! It was $20 for my meal and they seem to only have one size. They’re close to my house so I’ll probably be back but just make sure you check your meal before you leave the store.
