Berghuette - Augsburg

Run by a helpful and friendly young couple who have just celebrated their first year since opening. Good English spoken and a warm welcome. The menu is small in length but high in quality; starter, choice from 3 mains and a couple of puds. All cooked on the premises and very tasty. Think rustic home cooking rather than nouvelle cuisine. My German is not good enough to be sure, but there seems to be an Alpine theme to the menu. Portions are generous and prices reasonable. There are only a handful of tables and it feels more like an Alpine ski hut than a town restaurant. Overall, a lovely experience.

Absolutely the most delightful meal I experienced throughout our extensive visit in Germany. The meal was fresh and the service excellent. I certainly consumed more food than I ever did at other restaurants. Now if this restaurant was in my home town I would be there quite regularly.

This place is just amazing! Friendly service (also English speaking) with a daily fresh but therefore limited menu! I visit this place since years and it is just fantastic! One feels like visiting family in a mountain chalet! Food is fresh with lots of flavors! People tend to come here around 7p and leave around 1am! No rush and excellent entertainment! It's a place where time flies by! Due it's size with just 4 tables and a bar everybody gets to know everybody! I wished I could find something like this with excellent cuisine, service and fun in the USA!

Very cool restaurant in the heart of Augsburg. Super nice service and delicious food. Special requests no problem and price performance fits perfectly. And ham noodles on the map I didn't find in Augsburg. Come back. Thank you.

Best place found in Augsburg. Nice, small and cozy. The staff is always friendly and the cook is excellent! My favourite dishes: Bacon Burger with Jalapenos, Currywurst with Dippers, Kässpetzle with onion roasts, Mannequin salad (with turkey meat). Very large portions at a small price!
