I had the plancha cooked gambas/moules/calamari medley, my guest the gambas...plate. We both had frites and bread and the meal was delicious. The sweet taste of tomato in the sauce was exceptional. With drinks, all in. Happy customer.
...I went there with my host family. It is casual, reasonably priced and tasty meal. This restaurant is famous for mussels so we can eat them as much as we want. They have spacious car parking space. It opens also late at night. Staffs were... all friendly. Seat was comfortable. Inside of the restaurant is wonderful and really relaxing, wholly clean, with bright clean floor. The guest’s charming noise of conversation makes good atmosphere. We can also have some drink and salty-sweet pretzels as pre-dinner. Léon’s menu has various kinds of choice which is like mussels, and local specialties of northern France. Their original mussels are cooked in a handy sized pot with sweet tasty chopped onion, mellow white wine and rich tasting butter. Mussels come with unlimited delectable French-fries and crunchy French bread. When I went there it was the special day so I could eat as much as I wanted mussels. To enjoy mussels more, you can dip the French bread into the rest of sauce at the bottom of the pot. We ordered a nice deliciously-browned fried calamari as a side menu. It was fresh and tasty. There were also some bad points, though. For example, my mussels had already been cooled. over, the shells of the mussels were a little bit dirty. Another bad point is that they didn’t have paper napkins so it was difficult to keep our hands clean. Anyway, if you are looking for somewhere to get original mussels dishes in France, I would highly recommend you to go there. You’ll feel joyful and be satisfied with delicious mussels. I desire to go there again with my lovely host family.
We used to come here regularly on the way bacjk from holidays in France a sit is shortly before the border with Belgium and the food is reliably good. However, the last time we stopped here was for lunch and they offered us the dinner...rmenu at for courses instead of the lunch menu at for courses, almost certainly because they heard us speaking English/German. ie NOT French. Hate to be paranoid but this is the first time have had such an experience as do speak Frehc fluently , worked in France for years and so cannot say we will be coming back again nor can we recommend it anymore. Only realised we had been diddled when we had paid and were waiting for the children to come out of the loo, the waiter did look a bit sheepish but no offer of a refund for eg...
We ordered on 08/08/2017 two dishes of mussels to take away, the service was very efficient, from taking phone account to the reception of the dishes, a spray my summer proposed during the wait and the mussels was just delicious, soon.
Excellent reception of "beber", we have had a very good evening around two dishes that I recommend: the mussels at the plancha and that, Mediterranean way.The brooms are really today "the specialist" of the mussels.Thank you again to the manager and the waiter for their professionalism. bb
