I 'm sure many won 't even realize the difference (unless you 're like me and have go-to favorites you always get when going to Gibson bar. I tried their Italian sandwich and unfortunately, it was awful. Extremely soggy. Bland, grey meat. Slimy vegetables. I 'm likely to go one more time and try a different sandwich in hopes I just had a bad one-time experience.
A little gem on the side of Lamar! I love how simple all of the menu options are you want chicken, you get the chicken, you want shrimp, you get the shrimp. The employees are super friendly and helpful. I got the shrimp sandwich super delicious! The shrimp went so well with the apple and spinach and blue cheese. Each bite was delicious and the chips added a nice crunch on the side. The sandwich was quite heavy though. Also not many places to sit, but overall: great food!!
Stopped here spur of the moment after getting something to drink from the coffee place next door. This place was recommended by a new aquaintance. I got the falafel/hashbrown sandwich and my husband got the burger. He love his burger and I enjoyed my sandwich though I think I would try something else next time I go. They are good at combining fresh flavors so I am curious to try the other options
Nice little trailer with very nice employees! Sandwich was great and we upgraded to fries for an extra $2 instead of chips. They didn't sell drinks, which was kind of a bummer since I didn't wanna go into a bar to order a soda. Came out around $15 which is pretty damn pricey for a sandwich and fries but it was good. Some of the fries were slightly undercooked but overall super good. Brisket on the sandwich was very good and there was a lot of it. If you're not that hungry you can definitely share this meal with a friend.
I was pretty starving by the time we got food here, so the fact that I didn 't think it was the greatest thing ever...well. I dunno. It might have been too hyped for me in advance? I asked the lady taking orders whether I should get the Cow brisket banh mi or the Pressed Pig Cuban . She said the Cow was a no-brainer if it was my first time at Luke 's. It was...fine...but I guess I prefer a classic banh mi? I think the thing to get here is the burger. I had a bite of it, and it was damn good. Greasy, rich, fatty, tasty goodness. Not health food. It 's a burger. Love it for what it is. Three stars for the burger alone, frankly. Cheese fries were...cooked-from-frozen crinkle-cut fries covered with a pretty basic stadium-style melted cheese cheese ? . Would not order again.
