Texas Oh K-dog And Egg Toast - Austin

I unfortunately fell ill after eating at this restaurant. Both my daughter and I ordered the egg toast, which was delicious, but we both ended up getting sick. We experienced terrible stomach cramps, nausea, and fever. My daughter even had diarrhea and vomited once. After reading other reviews, I discovered that someone else had the same experience a couple of weeks ago. It's disappointing because I used to enjoy dining here, but I feel obligated to warn others to be cautious. Until they improve their food handling practices, I recommend avoiding this location and instead going to the H Mart location.

I waited in line for 5 minutes, even though there was no one in line ahead of me. No one greeted me when I arrived. There was only one worker preparing the food, who did not change gloves after touching his face and running his hands through his hair. Despite there being no other customers, I waited over 10 minutes for my food, only to receive the wrong order which had to be remade. I was disappointed as I had high expectations due to the positive reviews. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

This is a difficult review for me to write because I typically enjoy supporting businesses like this one. However, after eating here on Monday morning, I began feeling nauseated, which only worsened as the day went on. The symptoms of norovirus appeared within 6 hours, causing me to be sick during a flight two days later. This unfortunate experience has left me feeling miserable and sick during my vacation. I am confident that the illness was caused by this restaurant, as none of the meals I shared with my husband or friend in the days prior had any issues. Upon checking the health records, I found that the restaurant received a rating of 74-86, indicating room for improvement in food safety practices. If you have also experienced norovirus symptoms after dining here recently, know that you are not alone. I recommend that management closely examine their food safety procedures.

Ended up getting both an egg toast and a hotdog. My son loved the egg sandwich, would definitely come back. Staff was friendly and helpful as this was our first time ordering.

There are no words to describe how much I love the bacon and cheese egg toast in this place. If you do order it get the garlic bread!! Haven’t tried any other foods here but I bet it’s just as good as the toast haha.
