It was very good. The waiter was animated, personable, and fun. He was joking with the kids in his broken English and their broken French. He definitely made us feel welcome and happy. If I'm ever in Avingnon again, I'll go back.
I had a delicious set menu in this small, unpretentious restaurant. The balance between price and the quality of the food was excellent and we were served by the owner, who was so warm and accommodating, making sure that we were all happy with our meals. We were made to feel so welcome and the food was good to boot. It was in a lovely location right by the old city walls. As it was winter we sat indoors, but outside there was a terrace for warmer weather. I would certainly recommend it and will definitely go back!
I spent a week in Avignon 3-10 August 2013 and was impressed with the sheer number of restaurants offering a wide variety of menus. Out for an evening walk prior to searching for a place to eat I found myself down by the ramparts in Avignon which run alongside the River Rhone. There I noticed a restaurant which seemed to be popular with French people. I went to have a look and was impressed with the set menus on offer. I went for the cheapest, three courses for 12 euros. Each course was very tasty and I resolved to go to it on another night with friends. I tried other restaurants during my time in Avignon however my favourite eating place, without doubt, was La Ferigoulo 10 Rue Rampart du Rhone Avignon next to the walls in Avignon. The food and wine was, in my view, excellent, but it wasn’t just that, the friendliness and humour of the lady proprietor and her waiter made the nights I spent there with others, nights to remember.
