Contribuisci feedbackNo, a few months ago it looked very different here, our friend who was last in winter in bad windsheim. we are also not bad: in the middle of the old town, on the somewhat hilly kegetstraße, there is a chic, yellow-handed, renovated building in front of which the gas house sign “Leo – bistro and Metzgeria” hangs. metzgeria – it must come first! and yes: the origins of the building originated from the years 1511, leonhard hahn founded here 85 years a metzgerei. certainly very successful considering that one is located on a very meat-laden opposite place, where the sausages are considered as basic food. which would probably have been the case, would have been the current makers, and would not have regained and worked up the business again. that seems to be big because the last brummt and is very well loaded during our visit. especially the shaded, upstream terrace is best accepted on Saturday afternoon: from the fussballjugend after the training, from the traveling, from families to the shopping, from individual ladies who do not want to cook home today. the concept convinces: on a well-lit show kitchen and output counter there are local specialities and modern interpretations of regional delicacies: sometimes simply “on” or “on the hand”, such as chili pepper liver cheese in the small (1.70 euro or 3 windsheimer weschtli in the small (2.50 euro or pommes with chili cheese from softn with all kinds. in a cool counterpart to remove exceptional delicacies such as doped wild boar or practically welded, fully marinated grilled meat. they also like to cooperate with local colleagues, such as the “Brot Friendship”: fresh double-back bread is made by the local baker (heart and chess) in organic beer is mainly lammsbräu. as we only need a small strengthening on the day of our trip, rich schaschlik with pommes (6,90 euro and cheese spetle with salat (8,50 euro) the Schaschlik-Portion is in fact not very large, but is crowned by a sensational fruity sauce and handmade coarse french that recall more wild carrots (with court). the cheese tribes are here deaf and surprise with an exceptionally spicy emmental (dahinter you would have thought almost mountain cheese. on the same owalen teller the salat is sufficient: soft and fresh made, with a light dressing. pretty tasty and hopfig-herb is the chic pils from wortzburg. freshly pressed juices are offered for these or local scorpions. the service am theke is professional, forward-looking and very customer-oriented. are answered. the whole thing is so clean, clear and firm. the raff is both original and functional. very good is the cutlery in the hand, whose rib handles provide a good hold. also the toilets (just fit 1 cabin for ladies and men – but funny explained are super properly prepared. free wifi is also available, but it seems that it is not used because people are more likely to talk to each other. to the end we take a liver cheese back (1.50 euro) and look envily on the impressive Burger palette, which is gradually broken by the hungry foreball youth. leo would probably be our favorite hot restaurant if we were home. because the metzgeria is open daily from 9 – 21 clocks. all of you!
