The worst sandwich shop in Bakersfield. They don't take credit cards or ATM though there's a machine you can use in the lobby if you want to pay an extra $1.50. Plus the owner is too cheap to even buy a cash register. Mostly, though, the worst thing about this place is the service....slow, slow, slow. If you have an hour and a half to spend on an overpriced sandwich and you don't mind that neither the owner nor the employees give two hoots about you the customer then this is the place for you. Everybody else with the 6 year old egg salad sandwich at a local truck stop. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

If your looking for a yummy sandwich place, look no further. Sub station has been around for years . In 35 years I have never had a bad meal or bad service! 5 stars from a loyal customer!!!

Under new ownership, this Bakersfield favorite has delicious sandwiches, a great salad bar, and fast and friendly service. The No. 1, hot, with everything on it can't be beat. Patio is perfect for dining outside on nice days. Free wi-fi and bagels and coffee in the morning now available, too!
