Gold Garden - Balcatta

We wanted to try this restaurant a while and finally get there. we went to the dim sum lunch on a Sunday. the service was fast, friendly and efficient. we took some items from the car and ordered others. all we had was amazing with all on the table that the dumplings were fresh, sweet crispy and not oily. the aromen were great. this will now go our to dim sum restaurant and can no longer speak high.

The family wanted some Chinese food, and we received a recommendation for Gold Garden. We had visited a few years ago for a birthday celebration and had a terrible experience. I thought management might have changed since then, so I agreed to give it another try. The takeout menu looked promising, but unfortunately, that’s where our positive experience ended. The spring rolls were very greasy, and the honey chicken had barely any honey sauce at all. All our other choices lacked flavor as well, which was quite disappointing. We couldn’t finish our meals and won’t be returning to Gold Garden anytime soon.

Despite the recommended dim sum, dining here was far from dull; it was absolutely spectacular! Have they ever seen dim sum presented like this before, with all those delightful aromas on the plate? I mean, seriously! Whether you’re looking to have a great time with friends or loved ones, this is the place to be. At the end of the meal, they often serve watermelon, leaving you with a refreshing sensation. Whether it's family gatherings, social events, or romantic dinners, this is the perfect spot for you and your family. Just make sure to save plenty of space in your stomach for their wide selection of desserts! It's truly a delight for the taste buds.

It's not great. I recently moved into the opposite and took care of a new Go-to dim Sum joint. that's not it. the staff seemed pleasant enough, bu the eating was sub par.

By far the rudest and most uncomfortable service experience I've ever had in a Perth restaurant. Since the new management, the food has declined severely in standards and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant has been verging on traumatic. We were seated at a very dirty table which was not cleaned for us and were ignored by the staff on numerous occasions when attempting to order food. One of the dishes we ordered is stored in a heater behind the counter on display, it was not brought to us for over 30 minutes even though we could literally see it in front of us. When paying at the counter the Chinese staff behind the counter made a point of talking about us in a secretive manner. Our table was nothing but polite and never once did we complain, they had no reason to be so rude to us. I will never be returning and will make a point of spreading the word about how abysmal this place is.
