We had a few entrees between us to share: Patatas Bravas (yum and big portion, great sauce came with it too! Prawn Onion Bruschetta (delicious! somehow it works, fresh prawns too Sweet Potato Enchilada (the best thing we ate Bean...Taco (very yum and not soggy at all Nachos (would not recommend burnt and all stuck together. this was the only let down THE BEST guacamole i 've ever had in my entire life and i 've eaten a lot of guacamole! Soooo delicious!! We also had two margheritas: Pineapple was delicious! Red Skin was gross, too sickly sweet. Owner was waiting on us, she was very kind and accomodating. A bit of a quirky, flamboyant personality but I think with such an exciting nation such as Mexico, you need an exciting owner of a Mexican restaurant. Decor is beautiful, suits the space perfectly and keeps everything very 'open '. Music was at a good volume too and lighting was great. Takeaway containers were available for free and the owner/waitress was so generous in many ways. The restaurant has improved 100% since new ownership 2 months ago. Seriously the best experience and you can be SURE we will return. A great time out for Mum and I. Thanks again!
I was a regular attender to Zaragosa for years, but recently noticed the quality of the food and service has gone down hill. Much to my disappointment I didn’t see any familiar faces working and my meal was totally different to usual! Not to mention...the menu has been changed to include pizzas and spaghetti to name a few, which in no way reflects the Spanish and Mexican theme of the restaurant.. Very disappointing and sadly won’t be returning.
Went for dinner with a couple of friends, we all ordered the sizzling chicken fajitas that are supposed to come with mexican rice, lettuce, cheese, gucamole, salsa and sour cream. After a hour wait for our food (we had to ask where it was) we...finally recieved our chicken fajitas which weren’t even a tiny bit sizzling on their hot plate, also their was no mexican rice, lettuce or cheese... when we asked the waitress where these toppings were, we were told that the chef was new and was doing things differently. If this was the case, then the menu should have been changed. Almost every table in the restaruant while we were there had made a complaint.. would not reccomend!!!! And to make matters worse, when the poor waitress explained to the owners what the complaint was about the owner rolled her eyes.
Has long been a family favorite, literally been going here weekly for years including birthdays and special occasions. However they recently changed owners and to say its gone down hill would be an understatement. They appear to have brought in all new staff which has...changed the quality of the food. For example the paella which used to be nice with crispy bits at the bottom (the best part) now is just gluggy and bland. Same story with other menu items. Won’t be going there again unfortunately which is very disappointing.
