We queued for almost 45 minutes to be served. When we were finally at the check out and waiting to pay next my pensioner husband took a seat at a free table. there were very many available despite the queue). He was then subjected to an inquisition as to where I was in the queue, told he wasn’t meant to sit down at a table until served, asked how long he thought I would be etc. The table wasn’t clean and he asked if it could be wiped. We then waited a further 15 minutes to get a bowl of soup and a sandwich which were underwhelming and very average. Won’t be back!
We stopped at the cafe for a tea break and were so delighted to be able to have a GF scone. It has been a long time since I had a scone and a lot of places do not make such an effort. They arrived warm and with butter and jam and tasted delicious. I will be back in the future. Well done to Logan's.
My family and I made a stop at Logan's restaurant on our way to Portstewart for a holiday. I had fond memories of visiting this place as a child and wanted to share the experience with my own kids. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The venue is beautiful, but the baby change facility was not well-maintained. The menu offered a nice variety of food options. Although the queue moved quickly, we waited for about 40 minutes at our table for our food (which included a toastie, sausage and chips, and pizza and chips). The wait was especially difficult with the kids, and it was frustrating to see other customers who arrived after us receiving their meals first. When we asked the young servers about our food, they were not very helpful. We were considering asking for a refund and leaving, but then our food finally arrived. The food was actually quite good, but by then we were too frustrated to fully enjoy it. Despite the disappointing experience, I must say that the shop staff were friendly, and there was one older lady in the café who was very helpful. Overall, I believe that Logan's has great potential, but it did not live up to my expectations for a trip down memory lane.
The lunch was delicious, the staff were really helpful, and the place was spotless. Well done to everyone, it's no wonder it was fairly packed. I would go back tomorrow if I was in the area.
We turned in to Logans, to break a long car journey, and soon arrived at the impressive main building. We took our places on an escalator, from whose summit food smells enticed us forward. The restaurant is located in a bright open room with self service across COVID protecting plastic screens. We were spoiled for choice by a wide variety of savoury and sweet temptations. Choices made, a pretty young helper helped us to move to the Check out, and helped me to carry my laden tray to the table which we'd been allocated. Food was not only welcome but delicious. The staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcome.
