However, upon arrival, I was immediately disappointed. The bathrooms had a terrible smell and the windows were constantly open, allowing street odors to mix in. This, combined with the noise from the lively street outside, made it difficult to sleep. To make matters worse, none of the people I interacted with appeared to be vegan; they were in the area for its modern and techy atmosphere. I learned that most were Indian digital nomads who were upset that animal products were not allowed in the hostel. Additionally, none of the meals were included in the room rate, so I only tried one food item. The Orange Drizzle Cake, while sounding appealing, turned out to be a basic and unappetizing pre-packaged cake. Although I appreciated the concept of the hostel, the execution was lacking.
I had high hopes for my three-night stay at this hostel, expecting to meet fellow vegans or those interested in veganism and possibly extend my visit. However, upon arrival, I was immediately disappointed. The bathrooms were unpleasant, and the windows in my mixed dorm were constantly open, allowing the noise from the busy street outside to disrupt my sleep. The roommates I encountered were not actually vegan; they were mainly Indian digital nomads who were frustrated that animal products were not allowed in the hostel. Additionally, none of the food was included in the room rate, so I only sampled one item - the Orange Drizzle Cake, which was underwhelming and uninspiring. While I appreciate the concept of this hostel, the execution fell short.
