Amazing collection of paintings by Giuseppe De Nittis within a beautifully restored family palace

The artist is on a par with the much more famous French impressionists he befriended and worked with. Luckily, a very large body of his oeuvre has been preserved as a single collection, so you can study the progress and the artistic transformations of De Nittis and XIX century painting in general, in a single exhibition.

De Nittis is a not very well know Italian painter that will remind you of the more famous french impressionists. The building is a beautiful example of italian baroque and worth the visit on its own.
