Over half of the party 's orders didn 't go through, although we didn 't know this until we enquired. By this point everybody else had started, if not finished, their food. The member of staff dealing with this was professional and efficient. However the food (which was then coming out for the second time) didn 't come out in order. My daughter was served last, despite her food being a very mediocre pizza. Then there was a long wait for puddings with wait staff replying 'someone will bring it out ' when enquiries were made. Very disappointed as the whole party had travelled quite some distance for the meal under the recommendation of others. Almost 2 hours between the first and last food coming out. Really not good enough.
My daughters both enjoyed their food, although one was slightly over peppered but still nice. I had a burger which was nice until I got half way through and the second half was burnt and tasted so. I didn't complain as the chips were good and I had eaten half the burger. I would have expected better for how much it cost. The staff are friendly enough but there feels as though there is something missing. I didn't particularly feel comfortable in my interactions with them. A slight air of arrogance I think. The place is nice and if you have children, the play area is a bonus but I don't think we will return. Also walking on a narrow road with no path to get to the restaurant from the car park felt a bit unsafe.
We have used the Burntwood Bar restaurants for years as well as the gym and wedding facilities and have never been disappointed in the quality of food and service. Having decided to meet a friend on valentines night due to our other halves been at work, I was very disappointed to find that my husband who had driven from Wales to surprise me for dinner for valentines day was rudely told 'you 're not coming in dressed like that ' and sent on his way. He had a pair of hi viz tracksuit bottoms on and a regular jumper and trainers as he 'd just come straight from his site. Granted, probably not the most coordinated look but he was clean and tidy and certainly didn 't warrant such a rude reception by the waiter receiving guests at the door. it was 5.30pm and empty when we arrived so there was less that 5 people in the restaurant. And nowhere does it state there 's a dress code. This is our local regular haunt but after this regrettably my husband wont come back again after been spoken to like he was.
Went for my mums birthday Sunday Carvery, £15.99 each . Turkey was tough so was Beef YPuds rock hard ,frozen sprouts, hard carrots nrly raw ,broccoli and cauliflower cheese could not eat unable to cut them ,Mash potatoes tasted like instant mash with so much pepper in, very poor everyone left it .
We came here for our works Christmas night out on 2nd December and the food and service were appalling. We had pre ordered our food and at 7.30 a lady came to check what we had ordered as somethings on dessert list had changed. All confirmed and off she went. A hour later while other tables were been served coffee we hadn’t had our starters. Our manager spoke to the manager of the restaurant who tried to say because we pre ordered we were the last to be served as we didn’t need to pre order. He was very rude and obnoxious with no apology. Food was not upto the usual Burntwood standards and neither were the staff. This place will not be on our list for our next work gathering
