The Mexican House Commerce - Barrie

A true gem tucked away in Barrie! I visited this restaurant over the weekend and was delighted to find a break from the large chain eateries. The flavors of the food were a pleasant surprise. The prices were fair and the portions generous; each taco was well-seasoned, and the service was friendly. I didn't manage to take many pictures of the other dishes I ordered because I enjoyed them so quickly! Just a heads up—there isn't much seating (around 5 tables), but I will definitely return to dine in or place an order.

The tacos are unrealistic here. I was looking for a Mexican place that does Tacos justice (as I moved to Simcoe in December 2021) and this place does it. I had the chicken tacos, ceviche tostadas, barbacoa and the steak tacos. First of all, when you order the 3pc Tacos, the restaurant allows you to mix and combine flavors that is a profit. And you can buy the ceviche tostadas by the single piece. By far, my favorite was the Lambbarbacoa. Everything was so tasteful and the staff is friendly. I drive the 20 minutes from Innisfil, EASY, if it means that I eat the amazing Mexican food that I have believed for over a year

Wow, I dined here for the first time, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the portions were enormous—good luck trying to finish your meal. The quality is top-notch, and while this isn't a fancy restaurant, we absolutely love it. Be prepared for an explosion of flavors! Hats off to the chef; I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know. The service was excellent as well—we received our food in under 10 minutes, and our server checked in on us frequently. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about this place!

This was the best Mexican food I've had in Ontario. The dishes are authentic and surpass anything you'll find in downtown Toronto's taco spots. The restaurant also offers genuine Mexican products for sale. Highly recommended!

I’m seriously addicted to The Mexican House!! The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the staff are super friendly. I recommend this place to anyone looking for flavourful and authentic Mexican food. Thank you for always serving up amazing food in such a welcoming environment!!
