We were not disappointed with the food but do check on their Facebook page as to their opening times. We loved the array of unusual ice creams on offer I've never had tomato and catnip flavour before! Bernard the owner/chef/waiter really made our visits a friendly and enjoyable experience. We managed to get by on our not so good French and English and all in all I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had dinner here on a Friday night and all I can say is we were delighted with the food, service and staff. My meat eating husband loved his veggie tagine and ate half my hamburger too! The chef was so lovely and was telling us he was preparing fresh marmalade for tomorrow's breakfast he brought it out to show us and then let us taste it. So delicious, I wish we were in Bastia tomorrow morning to come for this. If you're in Bastia and a vegetarian, vegan or meat eater please do go and eat there as it's so yummy, reasonably priced and run by really nice people. Do check their opening times
We had lunch here before catching out flight back to Paris. Being gluten free and vegan in Corsica mostly mean PB and J sandwiches and salads made in our hotel room. It was such a treat to have eaten here before the end of our trip. The chef working there was very polite as we bumbled through with broken French trying to order. He spoke little English, which was fine by us as we actually enjoyed the challenge of conversing with a language barrier. The food was amazing, great serving size, and came with GF bread which the chef explained to us he made fresh himself! Could not have been more pleased. Great service, great food! I am a celiac and I did not get sick : A great choice for any vegans of GF people visiting Corsica!
We were wandering about Bastia trying to find a place far from the touristic area, as we thought we would perhaps get something more authentic and for a better price. And that's definitely what we got! Very nice food, well cooked and in a nice place. If you also want to run away from the tourist-oriented restaurants, this is an excellent option.
Une cuisine VG colorée, appétissante et savoureuse. Un lieu intime et atypique, loin des restaurants " lambda " comme on en voit trop souvent.Bref, les plats sont originaux et très goûteux, le patron au top et le service impeccable.Merci à Bernard et Stéphanie pour ce bon moment !!!
