Contribuisci feedbackWe're still not back! a cassolette of rosy meat avid of taste and drowned in wine! only wine! and two lanterns of peppers! Unthinkable to serve such an axoa! Yes, it was the night of the Bayonne celebrations! But it wasn't an excuse for that.
A warm welcome...Onctuous dishes .a little expensive total...From passage to bayonne, we stopped there. .small simple restaurant, but a great service ,the entrance 4€ well garnished ,the dish 9€ with homemade fries , too strong ! not to miss its small plate of sheep cheese ... extra ! fresh and regional products. in a word: great!!
Arrived late, we were greeted with the smile. We ate well! price at the top! good address!I recommend!
The sheer volume of visitors streaming through our BAB conurbation can bring disappointed dining out as they seem so undiscriminating on cooking and service and so easily overcharged at the end, but here in Bayonne is simple unpretentious nosh at simple prices. We often come here after a film at the Atalante or l'Autre Cinema and if parking in Bayonne can be awkward we prefer to just leave our car there on the quays in St-Esprit and walk over the Adour into Petit Bayonne. J'adore l'Adour and we have had papillons onto our windscreen n the left bank. With le P'tit Pub in Petit Bayonne we know we can get a good magret de canard & frites [16] or Piece de Boucher [15] and their wines are spot on. Some places on the French side of the border seem to feel that offering other people's wine will stick in the throat; but here you can get a glass of Rioja [ in France ] for 3 euros; or we might have their red Graves at 3.50 euros but still good value. The meat is always cooked brilliantly and their vegetables done fine. And in a simple basic setting your fellow diners will mainly be more discerning locals enjoying good unpretentious local fare and wines at moderate prices not always found on the coast. Vive le Pays Basque indeed.
