Contribuisci feedbackWhen we arrived in Bayonne, we went on to the outskirts and thought OMG made a breast here. Then we came across a building that 'Chez Mattin' said that looked delicious and covered with graphite and started panic. But 100 meters along the road... there was a new building with the same name that was our real destination. Okay, we started to feel better than it looked cleaner, but saw loads separated from trucks and were not sure where the entrance was. So we tried the pub door and went inside. At the end of the bar was a envelope reception where Mattin stood, not speak a word of English, surrounded by a whole load of trucks to dinner. But from here in it became better and better and ended as the best place in which we stayed. Mattin obviously realized that we don't speak a work of French called about an English-speaking employee who asked us if we wanted a drink in the house while Mattin organized our key. He then explained about the evening meal consisting of 3 courses and a bottle of wine for 11.95 euros per head. We were shown our room by Mattin, which was simple, but air conditioned and clean. Then we drove to dinner, which was excellent. The next morning we were offered breakfast, which was a typical continental and our very reasonable bill was paid. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It proves that first impressions can be totally misleading!!
More than a simple restaurant "routier" !!! every noon Monday to Friday formula at 13€50 including soup / buffet of admissions / dish of the day with choice between two / cheese tray / dessert tray / wine and coffee included or à la carte dishes. the dishes are varied and made home!service à table except for the entries.The bosses are of remarkable kindness and makes you feel in a family context.to try in week or weekend, noon or evening.I advise you the fish whatever it is because the cook is excellent also in this field there!!!
Good little road restaurant or everyone is welcome, we can come with work colleagues but also with family. everything is at the right franquette to start with the reception of the bosses but also the staff, we feel good. meal with 2 dishes of the day more than copied but also possibility to the card, with local products, fresh and homemade. excellent value for money and always the little word of the boss to be comfortable.
