They usually have the best prices on any meats, steaks, etc...Call them and ask about steaks you would like cut a certain way, and they will take care of you and have it waiting on you to pick up. Hey, it`s a small family owned grocery store, and I like to support small business. As far as the other reviews go, if you buy off brand , that`s probably what you should expect, imo.
In a town called Bean Station, is this gem of a grocery store. I found myself lakeside, in the area and decided to set out in search of a grocery store. Later during my stay in the area, I discovered Morristown. It may be more rural, but this IGA is the closer than Morristown. I must mention that most of the things here are dirt cheap off brands. I got a jar of off brand pickles and they were the worst pickles I've ever tasted. I must mention that dill pickles are my favorite food ever, so I've consumed a lot of pickles. I repeat, these were the worst pickles ever. In addition to being as soft as marshmallows, they tasted like what I'd imagine bleach to taste like. Just to elaborate on some cheap items; I found a pound of pork sausage for .79, styrofoam plates for a buck, you get the point.
Small country grocery store that's pretty much the only thing around it does not have beer or liquor but it's decently stocked other than that but just a simple plain old grocery store
Home town place for us Home town people. Shop local Employees are always nice and ready to help in any way they can. Prices are higher than the bigger stores but if i don't have to deal with the crowds and the crazy traffic. I will pay a little more anytime.
A family-run IGA grocery store. The very best thing they sell are fried chicken fingers they cook in the back. Big plump pieces, cooked to perfection. Worth a visit just for the chicken.
