It is simple but attractive and its cuisine is hearty, peasant type that is perfect for the setting and the occasion. We were warned from eating at the Niederhorn and told to go here instead. It was the correct advice. We ate here twice. Once after a long hike in rain and cold and had a very warming goulash soup and wine. The second time after a beautiful sunny hike where we sat on the balcony,, drinking in the view and enjoying a meal of wurst-salat and weizenbier.
Very friendly service and delicious food. The choice in the menu card was excellent and the prices very reasonable for Switzerland
We took the télécabine up and walked down, stopping for lunch here. Excellent service. Simple menu with typical Swiss plates and snacks. The ingredients were fresh, food was very nice. Prices are very reasonable. Cash only. Excellent view out over lakes towards the Eiger and Jungfrau. There are cows, rabbits and a slide to interest younger children.
Stopped for lunch on a lovely day sledding. On this snowy day, the rösti with raclette and egg hit the spot; my friends enjoyed the cheese and sausage plate. The Vorsass Kaffee is a great addition to the meal!
