I recently visited Sainsbury's in Kempston and I am honestly shocked. A staff member was walking around the queue offering a packet of sweets to customers without any PPE, allowing them to put their hands in the packet without gloves. Why are they making people stand in queues to prevent mixing, only to encourage sharing a packet of sweets? This is unacceptable.
It appears that Sainsbury's staff in Kempston, Bedfordshire, are not allowing care staff with badges to identify themselves as such when shopping with the vulnerable people they care for. This policy has forced them to drive the vulnerable individuals to shop for groceries. It is important to encourage independence for vulnerable or disabled individuals who are capable of shopping with assistance. By not allowing care staff to accompany them, Sainsbury's staff have put a vulnerable person at risk. It is necessary for them to reconsider their policy before endangering more vulnerable individuals, potentially the wrong ones.
Most of the staff are usually very helpful and friendly apart from simple Simon. I usually get a bagel with butter on it, however today he said he can't do a plain one as he can't put it through on the till (which is a lie, the ladies in there do it). He said I'll charge you for the butter and you can go and get one from the bakery. There was none? Extremely unhelpful and did nothing to apologise. There is never a problem until he is serving.
Breakfast is delicious. Had to wait 50 mins for it I'm sympathetic and mindful they may have been short staffed. Linda needs to brush up on her customer service skills, didn't even complain but she was so passive aggressive, I was scared too!!all in all, food is cheap and nice, but it gets busy and you might have to wait. And dodge Linda, she's scary.
