I booked a table through open table and viewed the menu. When I arrived I had to wait ten minutes for a table which wasn't the table I had requested in my booking. The menu was nothing like what I had viewed. The staff were inexperienced and overwhelmed. The bar was piled with dirty glasses. The food was deep fried and tasteless
Positives: Decor is absolutely gorgeous and great location walking distance to Lanyon Place Train Station). Unfortunately there are a few negatives in my opinion) I’m sorry to say but the service is quite poor. I spent the evening there with 3 friends and all of us felt the staff were inattentive and consistently struggled to get their attention all evening for food order/drinks. It was also pretty clear when we arrived that the staff weren’t expecting our booking, luckily there was a table free. For a Friday night in December, the place was relatively quiet I assume this is due to the drinks being slightly overpriced compared to other high market City Centre bars £16.00 for a cocktail). Coming from a hospitality background myself, my advice would be reduce the cost of drinks where possible increase staff training.
Booked for 4pm arrived told not open to 5pm a hotel like hilton should have more control over their bookings
I have an issue when I'm given the full bill and asked to pay in full before I have received a drink or any food. When I questioned the staff member I was told we had to pay first as it was hard to keep track of all the customers. Sorry just not good enough, I won't be back.
