Goodman's Deli - Berkeley Heights

The macaroni salad was flavorful, the turkey sandwich had ample portions, and the cookie was large.

The food at Goodmans Deli was delicious. Although I requested no orzo or noodles in my soup, the restaurant did not accommodate my request. However, the soup with kreplach and matzoh ball was very good. The chopped liver was amazing and it is hard to find any deli that makes it so well. The potato knish was warm and tasty. I highly recommend Goodmans Deli.

The best Brisket Sandwich anywhere. Gyro and Chicken Souvlaki pitas are not good. Chicken Cordon Bleu Wrap is very tasty. They should stick to the deli items at which they excel.

I dont usually provide feedback publicly but wanted to make an exception given my experience over the past couple of years. Goodmans provides excellent preparation, especially items that are difficult to deliver as ordered, like over easy or poached eggs and medium rare steaks. Plus they have provided the most consistent fulfillment over all other businesses. Dont get me wrong. Doordash has always made good for missing items from the other businesses, but missing items issues should rarely happen. Goodmans is the only business that has consistently packaged what I ordered. It is also the only one that I havent had issues with difficult and easier food preparations arriving seriously under or over cooked. My experience with Goodmans for both pick ups and deliveries has been consistent before and after they joined Doordash and I felt compelled to publicly express and share this long overdue appreciation for a job well done!

I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant, it used to be really good. I wouldn't mind the longer wait if the food was still top quality, but even the sauces and dressings are not up to par. Everything is undercooked and haphazardly put together. It's a shame.
