I've finally come a few times and have a whole laundry list of things I love: spacious parking lot ample seating, and it's never super busy great food! We loved the brats, lamb burger, veggie burger, onion rings, and fried pickles nice beer selection, you can get pretty much anything you like, like a delicious guava cider that the group may have ordered several rounds of.. staff are super nice, helpful and funny. Want a great bite out the way where you won't have to look for parking forever with a cute outdoor seating option? This is the place.
I was going to give Two stars because the meat of the burger was actually really good. It was medium rare and flavorful. But the over all burger sucked Unfortunately it looks like the restaurant is struggling because they are clearly trying to save money. Or they don't really know how to compile the perfect burger. My qualifications? I worked as a deli chef and Countless hours of watching hells kitchen and chef Ramsey's show where he save failing restaurants. Plus proof is in the picture. The sad looking burger patty was misshapen and had either been pressed on to make the round patty crack open. Or they just didn't care. I ordered a cheese burger.... I got half a slice of cheese... A triangle slice. It was not a cheese burger and it wasn't even really melted Then there were the condiments. On the side and very very sad. One tiny slice One , yes one ring of a red onion. And one Freaking pickle. And decent leaf of iceberg lettuce. These are vegetables! How much can pickles cost? Surely an extra tomato slice won't kill you. So either they are clueless on how to make a burger They are running in the red and cutting costs Or bad ordering and they were running out of things in the kitchen. But that can't be the answer because Safeway is open 24 hours.
FRAT FOOD but the beer is fine. Old, brown celery with teeny, tiny Buffalo wings. Ugh!
I drove by Moxy for awhile before I convinced my guy that we needed to try it out for Happy Hour, which is 4pm 7pm Everyday! They also have taco Tuesdays with $1.50 tacos all night. We started coming in when the Warriors were in the NBA playoffs, they offer deals when the game is on including food and beer specials. We quickly starting coming regularly and had my sister meet up with us to watch the game. They have an excellent selection of draft beer and in bottles. Not of that domestic bud or coors **** (sorry, no likey). They do not have a full bar, beer and wine only. The patio is a nice place to hang out and they have shaded and sunny areas. We have had the tacos, the parmesan fries, the garlic fries, the black and blue burger and the chili and it has all been good and a great price for the quality. The burgers are big, so I highly suggest sharing with a side salad or fries. Nice summer time place for beer lovers and sports fans looking for a low key spot.
I was rolling around Berkeley in my Weekend Whip Black Beauty , when I spotted Moxy Beer Garden . All of a sudden I felt Parched and a Beer was just what I needed . So I rolled into Moxys Parking lot and parked . I got out and rolled in . My Server Shannon Greeted and Seated me and presented me with a Menu . Moxy has a nice Outdoor Patio that has an Outdoor Fire Pit and a Dart Board outside . They also have some Board games you can play. They have 14 Different Beers on Tap . I ordered a 21st Amendment Watermelon Wheat for my first Beer . It was a great choice !!! It was Ice Cold and Refreshing !!! Truth be Told it one of my Favorite beers. I then ordered the Truffle Garlic Fries with an extra Truffle Dip for .75 Extra . While I was waiting I ordered a Fieldwork Chocolate Stout . Another one of my Favorites and a Very filling beer. Shannon brought my Truffle Fries it was a nice size portion and very tasty . They have a lot of nice Burgers on the Menu that Ill try on my next visit . I paid by Credit Card and rolled out.
